Dear colleagues and friends of ICOH,
It is with satisfaction and a sense of duty fulfilled that I hand over the national secretariat of ICOH to our colleague Adriana Árias, who will remain in the three-year term 2024 – 2027.
The electoral process was clean, ethical, honest and had the necessary fairness certified by the ICOH Board, in which I thank Dr. Diana Gagliardi and Dr. Shyam Pingle for all their help.
During the period from 2021 to 2024 representing MT of Brazil at ICOH, I kept focused on increasing our participation with new members, and also on improving our presence in the committees, which is still very low. As Secretary, I fought to ensure that the participation of the National Secretaries has more weight and relevance, especially during the “Mid-Term” meeting, where I actively participated, expressing our opinion on topics that will certainly have a positive impact on ICOH in the coming years.
ICOH is the most important occupational health association and, regardless of my position, I will always continue to fight for the strengthening of dignified, ethical and valuable occupational medicine.
I wish Adriana success, and knowing her responsibility, I know that we will have a good continuity. And we will see each other in Mumbai 2027!
